Ever since landing a national Nike commercial in 1998, Antonia Arcely dreamt of becoming an actress. However, it wasn’t until 2006 that she was able to put all her effort into making it a reality. Thanks to a scholarship, she developed a solid foundation in theater while training at the Piven Center in Evanston. In that same year she earned her 1^st dramatic role in the independent film Tripp which premiered at the Slam Dance Film Festival. With further training, Antonia went on to appear in 8 more films and various commercials. Eager to get back to her theater roots and pursue comedy, Antonia toured with the sketch group Salsation. Later, a friend and fellow comedian encouraged Antonia to pursue her life long dream…stand-up comedy. “My children were the 1^st ones to ever tell me I was funny. They are my biggest fans and I owe my successes to them.” She is currently a member of The ESL Players, the hottest, funniest, all Latino sketch comedy group in Chicago.
